Seminar Curriculum and Registration Information

  • An Herbal Response to Heavy Metals and Hydrofluorosilicic Acid (HFS) in Our Drinking Water.   Brigitte Mars, A.H.G. (nutritionist) (6:30pm – 7:20pm)
  •                         Brigitte Mars is a well-known herbalist and nutritional consultant, and has been teaching for over 30 years.  Ms. Mars has a weekly radio show called “Naturally.”  She teaches at Esalen, Kirpalu, Naropa University, and The Boulder College of Massage Therapy.  She is a professional member of the American Herbalist Guild.  Bridgette is the author of Sex, Love and Health, Addiction Free Naturally, Healing Herbal Teas, Natural First Aid, and Rawsome.  She will talk about the differences between waters, fluoridation, detoxification from heavy metals, hydrotherapy, difference between water filtration systems, and the spirituality of water.

  • Water Chemistry; Anatomy of a Contaminant Profile.   Richard S. Knaub, Ph.D. (environmental biochemist) (7:30pm to 8:20pm.)
  •             Pure water contains nothing but water.  However, this substance really only exists in a distillery apparatus.  For all other sources, including rain water, there are dissolved substances which are either nutrients or contaminants depending on the use.  This seminar looks at water chemistry and how sources and uses change the value of the dissolved solids found in solution.  Emphasis will be on drinking water, although other water uses will be included.

Dr. Richard Knaub was originally trained as a fishery biologist and has pursued advance degrees working in environmental genetics and environmental biochemistry, specifically how environmental conditions trigger physiological responses.  Past projects include development of community-based bioremediation programs for removal of heavy metals in soils and determining the environmental link for the decline of oysters in Chesapeake Bay.  As a former college professor he has taught such courses as Water Quality, Ecology, Fishery Biology, Environmental Science, Human Biology and Research Methods.  His current book project is Sustainable States: Law, Policy and Economics.

  • Endocrine Disruptors and Other Contaminants in Drinking Water.  Todd Michael, M.D. (8:30pm to 9:20pm)
  •             Dr. Todd Michael is a board-certified practicing physician and the previous medical director of a level-three emergency and trauma center. He is a popular national speaker and workshop presenter in the areas of interpersonal relationships, sexual chemistry, and metaphysics/spirituality and has addressed an estimated three million people in over fifty countries in the last five years.            A writer with Tarcher/Penguin, New York, Michael is the author of nine books including The Evolution Angel,The Hidden Parables, and The Twelve Conditions of a Miracle--winner of the prestigious Nautilus Award for "Spiritual Book of the Year, 2005."

He is currently completing a book on sexual chemistry, God and the Sense of Touch, and is an expert on the issue of hormone pollution in the environment and water supply.  Extraordinarily tiny amounts of hormones such as estrogen are causing enormous difficulties for people including decreases in libido for couples--mood instability, personality changes, and severe PMS in women--decreases in sperm counts and masculinity in men, increased rates of certain cancers, and many other problems which are steadily increasing in the populace over time.  Dr. Michael will address how the water supply can be affecting your loving relationship and your children’s future reproductive health.

In the opinion of the sponsor and consulting chiropractors, this seminar may be applied to the continuing education requirements of the Colorado Board of Chiropractors, C.R.S. §§ 12-33-111 and 116 and Rule 10. Continuing education credit may also be available from the American Message Therapy Association (AMTA), 847-864-0123.

The ST JULIEN HOTEL & SPA would love to have attendees join them for dinner or cocktails after the seminar.  They have a fabulous Happy Hour from 5P-7P in Jill’s restaurant, T-Zero, and Jill’s Terrace with generously discounted prices.
